It's difficult to know where to start in terms of how absolutely fantastic Jules and Courtney were for my wedding. From the beginning Jules was extremely knowledgeable, warm, professional, and available in the months leading up to our wedding. I was nervous about getting my make-up done as I am not one to usually wear makeup, but Jules was so funny and calming during our trial and the day-of that it was really such a delight to work with her. She made me feel really heard and did a truly phenomenal job with my make-up: it was natural, but still had a "pop" to it that made it feel special for the wedding. She also was extremely available between the trial and the wedding and always answered my emails and questions with grace and professionalism. She worked carefully on the logistics for our day so that everyone could get their hair and makeup done while also working with me on a shortened timeframe: I really didn't want to spend the whole day locked up in a room doing hair / make-up, and I felt like she really respected my desires and helped it become a reality. She also was flexible and calm on a day where weather concerns arose and resulted in some last-minute changes; she touched up my make-up and hair after some misty photos and was just generally a really good sport. We had a non-traditional wedding in the sense that I didn't have a wedding party and the many men in my life (including my husband) were around all afternoon to hang out, and not once did Jules or Courtney make me feel like that was weird in any capacity. I really appreciated that. I was actually SUPER anxious when my hair and make-up first started getting done and I needed to take a break to calm down. She and Courtney could not have been more calm or less judgmental about it, and that just was really, really helpful to me and really made me feel safe. Courtney did my hair and she could not have been funnier, calmer, or more professional. She tolerated me through two hair trials (I felt like I struggled to articulate what I wanted during the first one) and was extremely competent and talented. I loved how I looked that day, and how I felt, and that was all due to Jules and Courtney with their extreme talent, professionalism, and calming manners. Hire them! They are amazing! Thank you for helping make our wedding so special and relaxed.

First of all, I just have to tell you the biggest thank you of my entire life. You made me feel like a queen and the most beautiful woman and bride. I’ve never felt more beautiful. Ever. I have tears in my eyes writing this.

Thank you for all of the trials and helping to make it perfect on my wedding day. As I mentioned, Dave thought my makeup was perfect and gorgeous and still looked like me which was important to both of us.

Thank you for taking the extra time to come to the surf club to touch me up before I walk down the aisle. I know you don’t normally do that.

Jules and Courtney did my hair and makeup for my wedding in August and I couldn’t have been happier! They listened to exactly what I wanted and did an amazing job. My hair and makeup looked beautiful the entire day and was stunning in pictures. They were also very friendly and easy to work with. I would highly recommend Luminous Bride!

Working with Jules on our wedding day was incredible. She was really knowledgeable, fun to talk to and such a calming presence on a (slightly!) stressful morning. She arrived early with a full suite of makeup and armed with face masks and a shield to keep us all protected and healthy in 2020. With everything that happened this year, I didn’t get a chance to schedule a trial with her, but Jules immediately made me feel comfortable, asking me about my skin type and makeup style. She looked at photos of me in makeup I like to wear even though it took me forever to find a photo since I haven’t worn a lot of makeup in 2020 :)! Her suggestions were excellent, especially when I couldn’t decide which color lip to go with and she also picked a lip stain that lasted all day and didn’t bleed on to anyone else’s skin or clothing. She set a timeline for me, my mom and the mother of the groom and stuck to it and even had time to give us a few touch ups before we left for the main event. And finally, we all loved our look. We’re so very excited to work with her again in 2021 when we have our big wedding with (hopefully!) our full guest list! Jules is a real pro and I can’t recommend her enough.

Jules is such a pro and truly an artist in every way. I was so lucky to have found her for my wedding this September. We quickly planned our big day and Jules was super flexible with scheduling and figured out how to come to me for my make up trial in advance of the wedding. She listened to what I wanted to look like and helped with my skincare regimen leading up to the wedding day. She is also an expert at men's grooming and my husband was lucky enough to benefit from some of her tips on how to style his beard, plus she packed products for his day of prep as well. She is so thoughtful and so good at what she does! My mom also has super sensitive skin and eyes, and I have never seen her look so gorgeous, young and comfortable in her own skin. My entire wedding party loved having Jules! I can't recommend her enough.
